Sunday, September 27th 10:00am - 5:00pm This is the place to find out about the Carmel Valley Gem and Mineral Society Gem Show. This annual event takes place at the Monterey County Fairgrounds. The show features many award winning exhibits as well as numerous private collections on display. CVGMS club members will demonstrate various aspects of the lapidary arts. Select dealers will offer gems, minerals, fossils, jewelry, rocks, equipment, and other neat stuff! As always, there will be lots of Kids activities! Dealer InformationThe CVGMS show is an annual 2 day show held the last full weekend of September. Dealers are limited to gems, minerals, fossils and the lapidary arts. Show spaces are leased in increments of 8 foot tables; either 2, 3 or 4 tables of aisle frontage. Past years rates were $100 per table. At this time our current dealers are being invited back for this years show. If all dealers accept the invitation the show space will be full. We have a small show (14 dealers) and try to keep a balanced show without unnecessary dealer overlap. As an example; one mineral dealer, one opal dealer, one fossil dealer, one jade dealer, one bead dealer, etc. A back up list of dealers is kept in case of cancellations. Replacement dealers are selected based on how well they fit without overlap with other dealers. Backup dealers must submit a description of what they offer.
Exhibitor InformationWe invite you to exhibit your prized gem, mineral, or fossil displays at the 50th annual Monterey Gem & Mineral Show on September 26 and 27, 2009. The show will be held in the Monterey Room of the Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, California. Display cases may be set up from 1:00pm to 10:00pm on Friday September 25 and between 8:00am and 9:30am on Saturday morning. Show hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday and 10:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday Exhibitors receive free admission to the show and meal tickets redeemable at our snackbar. Camping is available at the fairgrounds for a fee All cases must remain locked throughout the show. No selling is allowed from the display cases and no price tags should be visible. Commercial exhibitors may include one business card within the case for identification of the exhibitor and the business. Additional information can be made available at the club information table. |
